Posted by NSCJournal NSCJournal

NSC's first “Spring Fling” was held April 9 through April 23 with 3 teams who cleaned out flower beds, raked up leaves, trimmed bushes and cleaned gutters for 7 seniors who were unable to perform these task themselves.  The groups who volunteered for this project were:
- Liberty United Methodist Church Boy Scout troop and their “Faithworks” group
- NKC Schools CAPS group
- Call Kansas City – Brent Lagers and 5 of this wonderful volunteers
Several of the seniors involved made this comment regarding the program:

“ I used to do all of this myself and now I can’t do any of it, thank you to those wonderful volunteers who gave up some of the precious time to come and take care of my yard for me, God Bless them and Northland Shepherd’s Center for all that you do.”
NSC would like to give a GREAT BIG THANKS to all those wonderful volunteers who work so hard to bring a little bit of joy and smiles to the faces of those lovely seniors. Hope to see you all in the fall at “Rake The Town”.
